Most major suppliers in New Zealand don’t offer custom cut lengths of Aluminium and Ductile Iron, therefore a full length is purchased and often the remaining off-cut is wasted.
As a leader in Engineering, we understand that a full length is not always required and therefore we have decided to make this option available for our clients. There is no need to purchase full lengths of Aluminium and Ductile Iron as we will cut the sizes you need and we don’t charge a cutting fee. You can customise the size to your specific requirements.

Aluminium Grade 6061-T6
General 6061 characteristics and uses: Excellent joining
Characteristics include good acceptance of applied coatings, combines relatively high strength, good workability and high resistance to corrosion. This is a very common material for general machining.
Applications: Aircraft fittings, camera lens mounts, couplings, marines fittings and hardware, electrical fittings and connectors, decorative or misc. hardware, hinge pins, magneto parts, brake pistons, hydraulic pistons, appliance fittings, valves and valve parts, bike frames.
Aluminium Grade 6082-T6
Aluminium alloy 6082 is a medium strength alloy with excellent corrosion resistance. It has the highest strength of the 6000 series alloys. Alloy 6082 is known as a structural alloy. In plate form, 6082 is the alloy most commonly used for machining. As a relatively new alloy, the higher strength of 6082 has seen it replace 6061 in many applications. The addition of a large amount of manganese controls the grain structure which in turn results in a stronger alloy.

Ductile Iron
Ductile Iron UB 400 offers superior machinability and surface finish combined with good fatigue strength’s, electrical conductivity and magnetic permeability.
Noise and vibration damping are good in this grade. Conforms with EN-16482:2014-ENGJS-400-15C.
